Role Description: Inside Sales Representative - JapanRole Purpose: 

Wasabi’s Inside Sales Representative plays a key role within our Japan Sales Team. In this role, you’ll combine proactive prospecting with strong closing skills to drive adoption of Wasabi’s next-generation hot cloud storage. You will engage new prospects, uncover their storage needs and buying timelines, and guide them toward free trials or qualified sales discussions. Approximately 80% of your time will be focused on managing and closing opportunities within the Mid-Market segment. The remaining 20% will be dedicated to identifying new opportunities, qualifying them, and passing them to the Channel Account Team for further development. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys hunting for new business, and takes ownership of moving deals forward.

The role will report to the Country Manager, Japan.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to warm inbound leads through email and phone outreach
  • Manage the full sales cycle to close opportunities with small/mid business prospects
  • Partner with Channel Account Managers to support channel opportunities and help drive deal closures
  • Encourage existing customers to expand their use of Wasabi’s cloud storage solutions
  • Conduct warm outbound calls to prospects within defined target markets
  • Build strong rapport with customers and earn their trust through consultative engagement
  • Generate free-trial accounts and book qualified meetings to support the broader sales teams
  • Disciplined in maintaining accurate, detailed records in the CRM system
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of technology inside sales experience, ideally within a fast-paced environment
  • Background in backup, storage with channel management experience is advantageous
  • Enthusiasm for working in a high-growth, start-up environment
  • A self-starter, comfortable with cold calling and outbound prospecting
  • Highly driven, goal-oriented and motivated to succeed
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Disciplined in planning, organization and goal setting
  • Bilingual proficiency in Japanese (native) and English
  • Bachelor’s degree
