Key Responsibilities

  • To understand the background and intent of client requests (participating in kick-off calls, reviewing proposals and market research briefs) 
  • Includes taking the time to develop a deeper understanding of the clients’ categories and key competitors 
  • Lead the development of research plans and proposals (adhering to PRS IN VIVO best practices, services, and visual guidelines) 
  • Willingness to get their ‘hands dirty’ with nitty-gritty of research process, if necessary, including screeners, questionnaire design, scripting surveys, etc. 
  • Managing / directing projects from start to finish including close collaboration with PM/fieldwork department 
  • Writing and presenting strategic reports of findings in PowerPoint  
  • Assisting with (and eventually leading) debrief presentations 
  • Develop (or learn how to develop) client relationships outside of individual studies to grow revenue 

The Ideal Candidate has the following Skills, Experience, and Attributes

  • 8+ years of experience in a top research consultancy, or as a brand strategist in an ad agency, consultancy or market research environment, ideally with CPG/FMCG clients and/or shopper/packaging/ NPD/ retail research 
  • BA/BS in related field 
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis 
  • Proven ability to take responsibility, think analytically, and communicate clearly 
  • Understanding of questionnaire design and creation 
  • Knowledge and interest in new-tech and digital research solutions essential 
  • Strong writing and analytical ability – knowing how to convert data and analysis into stories 
  • Written and oral communication – used to correspond clearly and concisely with clients, outside vendors, and internal departments 
  • Creating instruction materials for our internal and external field partners 
  • Attending client briefings and debriefs 
  • Good understanding of quantitative metrics and experience in combined qual-quant projects execution and analysis preferred 
  • Strong experience in qualitative consumer research 
  • IT skills focusing on Word, Excel and PowerPoint, video editing is a plus 
  • Must be able to work independently, yet be comfortable asking questions

In accordance with NY/CO/CA/WA law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $135,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
