The role / impact
You will help create and deliver beautiful software to our customers by undertaking development across our suite of products. Your work involves building and managing software that solves engineering problems at scale, ensuring our small business customers have the tools they need to be more efficient every day.
By making data-driven decisions and focusing on technical excellence, you will release value early to solve customer problems effectively. You will take end-to-end ownership of your work, from initial discovery and solution shaping through to the final release into production.
The team / how they connect
You will join the Paper Plane Pod within the Payroll - Time Attendance & Scheduling team, a collaborative group that values supporting one another and pairing up to solve challenges. We operate as a remote-first team across Australia and New Zealand, using lightweight practices and informal show-and-tells to share knowledge and maintain high quality.
The team is currently working on
Developing and maintaining scheduling and rostering functionalities using .Net, C#, and React.
Refining time capture and roster visibility tools to ensure accurate pay for small business employees.
Embedding AI practices across everything we do -from discovery through delivery, while remaining fully accountable for the quality of what we build.
Contributing to the architecture and implementation of distributed systems while refactoring monolithic components.
Where and how you can work
We are a hybrid team that offers flexibility in how we work. While team members in Auckland or Melbourne have the opportunity to connect in person, this role is open to candidates based anywhere in New Zealand, with our distributed members connecting digitally.
Here are some of the things we are looking for
You bring proficiency in .NET and C# along with experience building interfaces in React.
Your background includes a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and the ability to debug across a technology stack.
You possess a growth mindset and a genuine passion for learning new technologies and AI practices.
