Cast & Crew is seeking an AI Engineering Intern to join our Technology & Product team. This internship provides hands-on experience building intelligent, AI-powered applications that support critical workflows in the entertainment industry.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, data architects, and product managers to design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled features using modern cloud and development tools.
This is an opportunity to gain real-world exposure to enterprise AI systems, data pipelines, and scalable application architecture.

What You’ll Do 

• Assist in developing AI-powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), machine learning models, and generative AI tools 
• Support the implementation of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows and vector-based search solutions 
• Contribute to backend and full-stack development using Python and/or TypeScript 
• Help build and test APIs that integrate AI services with internal applications 
• Assist in developing and optimizing data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines 
• Work with engineers to integrate structured and unstructured data sources into AI systems 
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies 
• Support documentation of architecture, workflows, and technical decisions 
• Help monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve system reliability 
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and data teams to understand enterprise security and governance standards 

What We’re Looking For 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field 
• Foundational programming skills in Python (preferred) or TypeScript/JavaScript 
• Basic understanding of APIs, RESTful services, and web application architecture 
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts such as embeddings, model inference, or prompt engineering 
• Exposure to databases (SQL or NoSQL) and data processing concepts 
• Understanding of Git and version control best practices 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Curiosity about emerging AI technologies and a desire to continuously learn 
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment 

Nice to Have 

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP 
• Familiarity with vector databases or semantic search tools 
• Experience with Docker or basic containerization concepts 
• Understanding of data governance, security, or compliance fundamentals 
• Experience working on academic or personal AI/ML projects 
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines or automated testing practices

Special Work Conditions   

• Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. The compensation range for this position is: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour.
