Summary:
The TekniPlex Corporate Development team is seeking a summer intern prepared to assist with data analysis supporting the global compensation team. Your responsibilities will include auditing data files for integrity, preparing large data sets for our annual review process, and creating presentations to make recommendations from data analyses. Additionally, you will gain experience in key areas of HR Compensation, including performing job evaluations and employee mapping, pay equity analysis, data preparation for survey submission, and more. During your 8 to 10 weeks in this role, you’ll bring your knowledge of technology solutions to improve existing and create new tools for HR and managers to use in making compensation decisions.
Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:
- Create data dashboards to reflect global HR data, including job grades & levels, compensation ratios, and variable compensation targets
- You’ll learn how to independently perform market data job evaluations on new positions proposed by hiring managers and the HR team
- Create slide decks and training materials for global and executive-level presentations
- You’ll learn how to manage the data set for a year-end (merit) process at a global company, as well as how to administer it using Payscale.
- Partner in creating and facilitating training for managers and HR during preparation for the year-end (merit) process
- You’ll be taught how to organize and submit compensation survey data, as well as manage this on a global level
Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements:
- Current pursuit of a full-time undergraduate degree in business intelligence, business administration, data analytics, finance, or human resources
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to share ideas and process improvements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Acute attention to detail with strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, comfortable programming and editing large workbooks. Power Query and PowerApps a plus. Ability to create professional presentations in PowerPoint to translate data into executive-level summaries.
- Strong motivation and work ethic, the ability to work independently, and the ability to balance multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Spanish is a plus
