Job Summary

We currently have an opportunity for a Summer 2025 Intern at the Melrose Park Production Facility to join the Environmental, Health, and Safety Team.
Salary Range: $19.00 - $22.00/hour
Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Focus on waste minimization efforts including creating signage, diagrams, and trainings.
• Manage hazardous waste, lab waste, and incompatible waste streams.

SMART Goals:

• S: Develop waste management protocols.
• M: Reduce waste generation by 10%.
• A: Coordinate with relevant departments.
• R: Support site environmental sustainability.
• T: Achieve goals by the end of the internship.

Community Outreach Project:

• Interns will be put into groups and be responsible for finding a local nonprofit organization to put together a community service day with.

Requirements:

• Field of Study: Environmental Science, Waste Management, Science related field, or other related fields
• Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations and management
• Skills: Process creation, training development, and waste handling
