In the past seven years, Zoro US has grown from a group of 6 people working out of a 2,000 square foot building, offering fewer than 100,000 products to a group of 275+ working out of a 60,000+ square foot building, offering more than 2,000,000 unique products. Zoro is currently offering one paid internship for a passionate & driven individual interested in joining our Paid Search team for the summer of 2019. This is a full-time opportunity and will start late May/early June and end in late August. The start and end dates can be flexible based on your semester schedule.
Position Description
We are the team that generates revenue and drives traffic to Zoro.com. Our goal is to make our products visible on search engines when someone is searching for it. We work very closely with Google and Bing testing new search technologies and making data-driven decisions.
- The Paid Search intern will gain an understanding of how to create and monitor paid search campaigns comprising of adgroups, keywords, bids and ad copy on both Google and Bing.
- They will learn how to use Google Ads, Google Analytics, Bing Ads and Search Ads 360 as well as gain proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- They will finish their internship with experience working on a project that has tangible benefits to the company and gain skills that are applicable in real world situations.
Position Requirements:
- We realize that many students do not have deep exposure to much of what we do. Our ideal intern needs to show interest and aptitude – not necessarily mastery of specific concepts.
- Graduating in Spring 2019, Fall 2019, Spring 2020 or Fall 2020
- Exposure to any of the following: marketing strategy, digital marketing, finance, SEO, Pay-Per-Click (PPC/SEM), or Product Listing Ads
- Intermediate to Advanced level in Microsoft Office, mainly Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly motivated, self-starter who is resourceful and eager to learn
- Previous knowledge and/or experience with SEM, Google Ads, Google Analytics, etc… is not required but is preferred
