Seeking a Remote Technical Writing Intern for the CSC Corptax® Education Services teams
Corptax is seeking a talented student technical writer to assist with various projects across the Education Services teams (technical communications, curriculum, training, and training coordination).
The intern will work with various groups on an assortment of projects for corporate tax professionals. Some projects may include creating software documentation, file cleanup and organization, data entry, reviewing/editing documents, etc.
The Technical Writing Intern will join the Education Services team to gain valuable experience through business interactions and job assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and apply CSC Corptax standards for documentation
- Assist in updating context-sensitive Online Help documentation using Madcap Flare, as needed
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and other writers on creating and reviewing documentation
- Design and update Quick Reference Cards using Adobe InDesign
- Manage large-scale file organization projects
- Edit documents or videos for various departments, as needed
- Enter CPE data into spreadsheets, as needed
- Assume responsibilities of other assigned projects
Qualifications:
- Major in technical communication or related field
- Undergraduate senior or graduate student preferred
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Some experience with software documentation preferred
- Experience with Word and Excel required; Adobe InDesign and Madcap Flare preferred
- Enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Passionate about planning and organizing
- Eager to learn and to satisfy your innate curiosity

The writing sample should be 500-1,000 words and cover a technical procedure. For example, you could submit a procedure for completing a task in a familiar software.
