The IT Support Analyst will be responsible for deploying, maintaining, and supporting employee computers, printing, and phone systems at one or more of ALTIVIA’s facilities. This position will split time between our corporate office in downtown Houston and ALTIVIA Specialty Chemicals, LLC. in La Porte.

This position will report to the Director of Information Technology and provide the first response to employees’ daily technical issues and escalate to other members of the information technology department when necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software & peripheral devices in a Microsoft networking environment.
  • Work with employees to diagnose and solve hardware, software, and printing issues over the phone or face-to-face.
  • Aid in the maintenance of wired & wireless network devices onsite and remotely.
  • Support senior IT staff when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree and/or equivalent IT certifications and/or relevant experience.
  • Must be able to pass a TSA security threat assessment (background check) and be approved for a TWIC card.
  • Ability to work a 40-hour-per-week schedule Monday-Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods both indoors and outdoors.
  • Ability to work in a hazardous material environment.
  • Must be able to respond outside of regular working hours in the event of an emergency.
  • Can demonstrate knowledge of supporting Windows 10 and newer-based PCs and laptops.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills. Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with various personality types.
  • Can clearly communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Must follow through, complete tasks reliably, be self-motivated, and work independently.
  • Must be detailed and organized and have good prioritization and decision-making skills.
  • Should be able to assemble a computer from scratch and/or diagnose issues quickly.
  • Should have at least a general familiarity with network hardware and its configuration
