Position Overview:

We are seeking a IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our IT infrastructure across Composites One & Aerovac. This role will oversee a team of internal and third-party technologists to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing enterprise infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities: 

Infrastructure & Operations:

  • Install, support, and maintain IT infrastructure systems including cloud and on-premise servers, storage, OS, security systems, Entra ID, and related solutions.
  • Administer Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment including Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), DevOps pipelines, CI/CD automation, and GCP-native tools.
  • Manage Microsoft Azure tenant and server administration processes.
  • Optimize server and storage capacity, architecture, cost, and deployments.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues to maintain service levels.
  • Monitor systems proactively and establish automated alerting and monitoring.
  • Manage backup, retention, and disaster recovery solutions using Veeam.

Security & Risk Management:

  • Implement and coordinate security measures, including patching and vulnerability management.
  • Oversee third-party service providers to ensure service levels are met.

Team & Vendor Leadership:

  • Lead, develop, and retain high-performing IT teams and contractors.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet business objectives.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.

Strategy & Innovation:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize infrastructure services.
  • Analyze industry trends and recommend innovative technology solutions.
  • Contribute to IT strategy, roadmap, and overall organizational efficiency.

Expected Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years in IT with emphasis on enterprise infrastructure management (cloud and on-premise).
  • Minimum 3 years managing IT teams and technology resources.
  • Minimum 1 year hands-on administration experience in Google Cloud Platform; Azure experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2019/2022, Linux OS (Ubuntu 16.04+), virtualization, Docker, Kubernetes, Entra ID, and cloud services.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and third-party vendors.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Expertise in enterprise server, storage, and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to delivering operational excellence and service quality.

Travel:

  • Up to 25% travel to our distribution centers, as needed.

      Pre-Employment Requirement: 

      • Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen and background check. This requirement is especially critical for safety-sensitive roles.

      The annual base salary range for this position is $165,000 - $185,000. The actual pay will be determined based on factors such as location, experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
