Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. 

Estimated annual base pay: $96,000(minimum) - $125,000(midpoint) - $154,000(maximum)

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Actions: Lead IT projects of varying complexity that are critical to Woodward's success.  Accountable for project results.
  • Project Artifacts: Accountable for project artifacts (scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, etc.).
  • Project Governance: Lead project meetings and reviews.

Key Skills:

  • Leadership: Inspires and motivates cross functional teams to achieve project goals. Builds trust, resolves conflicts, and fosters collaboration among team members.  Takes personal ownership of the project and drives commitment from team members.
  • Time Management / Prioritization: Expert ability to effectively manage schedules, set milestones, and ensure timely delivery of project outcomes. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and effectively address competing demands.
  • Communication: Effectively conveys project information to stakeholders, team members, and sponsors. Tailors communication to different audiences (e.g., executives, technical teams, clients). Proactively manages stakeholder expectations and ensures alignment on goals.
  • Stakeholder Management (upward): Engages stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives. Addresses stakeholder concerns, manages expectations, and balances competing priorities. Builds and maintains strong relationships to secure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Risk Management: Identifies, analyzes, and mitigates risks throughout the project lifecycle. Develops contingency plans and proactively addresses potential obstacles. Monitors risks and adapts strategies to minimize negative and maximize positive impacts on project objectives.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyzes complex situations, identifies solutions, and makes informed decisions. Manages challenges and conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle. Leverages data and metrics to evaluate options and choose the best course of action.
  • Financial and Resource Management: Manages budgets, forecasts costs, and tracks financial performance across the program. Ensures cost-effectiveness and delivers value within financial constraints. Allocates and manages resources (time, budget, personnel, and materials) efficiently across multiple projects.
  • Team Management (cross-functional/matrix): Creates high-performing teams by fostering trust, accountability, and open communication. Identifies team strengths and assigns roles to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Encourages collaboration and empowers team members to contribute to project success.
  • Scope (Change) Management: Quickly adjusts plans in response to changing circumstances or new information. Clearly defines and controls the project scope to prevent scope creep. Manages change requests while ensuring alignment with project objectives and constraints. Maintains focus on deliverables and ensures they meet agreed-upon requirements.
  • Technical Project Management Skills (incl. Scheduling): Masters project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches). Effectively uses tools and software (e.g., Planisware, etc.) to plan, execute, and monitor projects. Applies standard and advanced PM techniques like Earned Value Management (EVM), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and Gantt charts.
  • Change Management: Manages organizational change and ensures successful adoption of program outcomes. Addresses resistance to change and fosters stakeholder buy-in for program initiatives.
  • Knowledge of IT Infrastructure (on-premise and cloud) and Business Systems (ERP, etc.) a plus.

This position is hybrid with 4 days onsite.
