 Overview of the Role  

  • The IT Specialist will be well organized, detail oriented, and have excellent communication skills.
  • Must be a team player and be able to adjust to change and have an openness to learn.
  • Must have previous experience in the IT field and end user support. 
  • Location: Schaumburg, IL will observe a hybrid schedule in office 3 days a week   
  • Salary: $55,000 - $60,000, based on experience, qualifications and skills.

What You’ll do at C.A. Carlin 

  • Begin to learn the processes and procedures our company follows for IT and become proficient in them 
  • Become familiar with all server roles throughout the company  
  • Provide end user support for both local and remote employees 
  • Provide the first line of support for onsite and remote hardware including installing software, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and training users on software and equipment 
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions 
  • Triage the situation and handle the issue or assign it to the appropriate resource 
  • Will provide daily and weekly updates to the manager as to where all projects, new user setups and open issues are 
  • Will do day to day network maintenance and monitoring 
  • Will handle the ordering of basic hardware that end users will need 
  • Will oversee designing and distributing training sessions for end users to promote the growth of our new technologies that we are deploying 
  • Will provide more proactive IT Support to our end users instead of the reactive support  
  • Will be responsible for all new laptops and tablets

What You Should Bring to the Table 

  • Minimum: 2 years IT field experience 
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills 
  • Able to Multi-task 
  • Proficient with supporting the full Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Has the ability to train and instruct users 
  • Has a good ability to document procedures and network information 
  • Experience with Android, IOS and Windows Mobile devices 
  • Windows Desktop Support  
  • Basic Apple Desktop Support 
  • Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Server, SharePoint, and Office 365 Suite of Products
