ABOUT THE ROLE

The Jr. Proposal Manager is a member of Accela’s RFP team, supporting the development of competitive proposals for state and local government customers. In this role, you will assist with proposal coordination activities across the full proposal lifecycle, from kickoff through submission, while learning proposal best practices and compliance requirements.

This role supports responses to government software RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs. You will work closely with experienced proposal managers and cross‑functional contributors to help produce high‑quality, compliant proposals for Accela’s SaaS solutions and contribute to the ongoing improvement of proposal content and processes.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage end-to-end execution of government RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs
  • Create proposal schedules, outlines, and compliance matrices
  • Coordinate inputs from internal stakeholders
  • Draft, edit, and review proposal content
  • Ensure compliance with solicitation requirements
  • Support proposal process improvements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 1–3 years of experience in proposal coordination or RFP management
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Qvidian, Loopio or other proposal management software skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with government software or SaaS proposals
  • APMP certification or interest in pursuing certification

COMPENSATION AND WELL-BEING
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 - $80,000 (less applicable taxes). The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience. In addition to an annual base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus target. This is a discretionary bonus awarded based on company and individual goal achievement.
