We are seeking a fully remote junior-level engineer or intern who is eager to learn modern cloud and DevOps practices. You will work directly with a senior platform engineer to build and support a real production platform deployed on AWS and Kubernetes. The role will involve hands-on learning and execution, starting with basic operational and configuration tasks and growing into more complex responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day AWS operations. Help deploy Kubernetes workloads (deployments, services, ingress, namespace organization). Perform basic troubleshooting across services and AWS resources, Document technical processesParticipate in review sessions.
Technical Skills (Minimum Required, even if through classroom or lab projects)
Familiarity with AWS basics (EC2, IAM, EKS, Route53). Basic Kubernetes knowledge: pods, deployments, services, container concepts. Comfortable working in Linux terminals and with basic CLI toolingAble to read YAML files.
What You’ll Learn
Hands-on experience with real-world AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters. Production-grade ingress, service mesh, and security fundamentals (Istio, NGINX). Identity management & authentication flowsInfrastructure automation and scaling strategies
Ideal Candidate
Not afraid to ask questions. Able to work autonomously under direction from senior engineers. Wants career growth in DevOps, SRE, Cloud, or Platform Engineering

This role is fully remote.

Rate: $18–$20/hr 

Hours: 10–15 hrs/week to start

Location: Fully Remote (US-based); US Citizens / Passport holders only due to government work)

Start date: Within 1-2 weeks
