About Our Opportunity:
The Junior Demand Planner position is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. The Junior Demand Planner maintains forecast models for our customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, and other sources.
The Junior Demand Planner is also the integration point into the sales and operations side of Chervon. Basic forecast modeling is the main responsibility of this position. This position aids in establishing the dialogue each month for our products with key counterparts in Sales and Marketing as well as communicates forecasts to the Supply Planning team.

This job operates in a professional office as well as within Chervon warehouses, supplier locations, and various Chervon offices in the USA. Occasional travel to Nanjing, China as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains tools to help the communication of monthly variances to both sales and marketing and supply planning team.
- Reviews over/under sales patterns, research demand drivers, and prepares data to drive forecast changes.
- Engages in forecasting of new and transitional items to ensure project success.
- Participates in key monthly meetings with sales and marketing and other logistics support functions.
- Develop reports to monitor performance metrics (Forecast Accuracy, Sales Projections etc.) as defined by management.
- Works with the supply planning team on developing inventory and overstock tracking reporting.
- Addresses demand-related issues in an effective and timely manner.
- Defines continuous process improvement projects, other miscellaneous duties as assigned, and any ad hoc requests.
- Possess a logical and systematic approach to work.
- Possess good time management ability.
- Successful with the ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions.
- Adept with commercial awareness and numeracy skills.
- Skilled with some degree of IT literacy and the ability to handle electronic data.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain, logistics, finance, or a related field.
- 2 plus years of experience in demand planning, preferably with a consumer packaged goods company.
- Oracle ERP & MRP knowledge preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Highly motivated self-starter.
- Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Salary Range: $60k to $70k
