ARSIEM is seeking motivated Junior Microsoft 365 Developers to support the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Microsoft 365 environment. The selected candidates will work as part of an Agile development team to design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain Microsoft 365 solutions using the Power Platform, SharePoint Online, and related Microsoft cloud technologies.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys developing business solutions, automating processes, solving technical problems, and working directly with customers to improve business operations through Microsoft 365 technologies.
This position is primarily remote.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, test, and maintain Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, SharePoint Online solutions, Microsoft Forms, and related Microsoft 365 applications.
- Assist in developing business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Dataverse, and Power Automate.
- Support enhancements and maintenance of existing Power Platform and SharePoint solutions.
- Participate in requirements gathering, solution design sessions, sprint planning, code reviews, testing, and production deployments.
- Troubleshoot application issues, workflow failures, SharePoint functionality, and Power Platform solutions.
- Develop PowerShell scripts and automation tools to support Microsoft 365 administration and application deployment activities.
- Create and maintain SharePoint lists, libraries, content types, site pages, permissions, and business process solutions.
- Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI to support business and operational reporting requirements.
- Assist with application testing, quality assurance, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production validation.
- Produce technical documentation, design documentation, user guides, and knowledge articles.
- Support Agile development activities, backlog refinement, sprint demonstrations, and release planning.
- Collaborate with senior developers, solution architects, business analysts, and Government stakeholders to implement Microsoft 365 solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience developing or supporting Microsoft 365 or Power Platform solutions in a corporate or government environment.
- Experience developing solutions using one or more of the following:
- Power Apps
- Power Automate
- SharePoint Online
- Microsoft Forms
- Power BI
- Dataverse
- Experience creating workflows, forms, business process automation, or low-code applications.
- Familiarity with SharePoint Online lists, libraries, permissions, and site customization.
- Experience troubleshooting Microsoft 365 applications and resolving application defects.
- Basic experience with PowerShell scripting.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 security, permissions, governance, and lifecycle management concepts.
- Ability to work within an Agile software development environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to successfully complete IRS MBI security onboarding and required IRS security training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Federal Government Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience developing Model-Driven Apps and working with Microsoft Dataverse.
- Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, Azure Functions, or custom connectors.
- Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, or CSS.
- Experience with Copilot Studio, AI Builder, Microsoft Teams application development, or Microsoft Viva.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Defender, Entra ID (Azure AD), or Microsoft 365 administration.
- Microsoft Power Platform or Microsoft 365 certifications are desirable.
