315, LLC builds and operates Cairn, a healthcare revenue cycle management platform running on .NET and Microsoft Azure. We're hiring a junior C# developer to join our engineering team and contribute to an active codebase modernization - translating existing Visual Basic modules into clean, maintainable C#. You'll work directly with the architect who built the platform, learning healthcare billing systems from the ground up while writing production code from day one.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Translate existing VB.NET modules into modern C#
- Build and maintain web application features across the Cairn platform
- Write clean, well-documented, testable code against an MSSQL database
- Participate in code reviews with the senior architect who built the platform
- Support and extend API and web service integrations
- Follow secure development practices appropriate for a HIPAA-regulated environment
WHY THIS ROLE
This isn't a maintenance job. You'll be part of a defined modernization effort , writing new C# code against a production healthcare platform used by medical practices across Georgia. You'll learn directly from the engineer who architected the system - someone with deep institutional knowledge of healthcare billing, claims processing, and payer integrations. For a junior developer, this is rare: real production responsibility, structured mentorship, and a project with a beginning, middle, and end.

Requirements
- 1-3 years of professional experience writing C# on .NET (internships and substantive project work count)
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and version control workflows (branching, pull requests, code review)
- Ability to read and understand existing code in order to translate it accurately
- Self-directed work habits - you'll be remote, and we trust you to manage your time
- Comfort asking questions and learning in a mentorship-driven environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience, completed bootcamp programs, or a demonstrated portfolio of .NET/C# work will be given equal consideration- 1-3 years of professional experience writing C# on .NET (internships and substantive project work count)
NICE TO HAVE
- Exposure to Visual Basic .NET or legacy .NET codebases
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure SQL, DevOps)
- Any experience with healthcare billing, EDI transactions, or HL7 messaging
- Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms
