Junior Recruiter | Wax Specialist Talent Acquisition

Position Overview

At EWC Growth, smooth is just the start. We’re one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisees of European Wax Center, with 52 centers across Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts + New York — and plans to continue growing.

We’re looking for junior level Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team with a primary focus on finding, engaging, and hiring licensed + soon-to-be-licensed Estheticians and Cosmetologists for our Wax Specialist positions.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their recruiting career who loves connecting with people, moves quickly, and has been exposed to hiring esthetician/cosmo talent. You’ll own candidate outreach and screening while building relationships with beauty schools, partnering with center leadership, and keeping our Wax Specialist pipelines moving.

What You’ll Do

Recruiting + Candidate Management

  • Manage Wax Specialist recruiting across an assigned group of centers and markets.
  • Review incoming applications and identify candidates who meet licensing, availability + location requirements.
  • Conduct initial phone/video screens and evaluate candidates for experience, communication skills, availability, career goals + overall fit.
  • Proactively source licensed Estheticians and Cosmetologists through job boards, social platforms, local communities + other creative channels.
  • Maintain consistent candidate communication throughout the interview process.
  • Coordinate interviews between qualified candidates and Center Sales Directors.
  • Follow up quickly on interview feedback and next steps to keep candidates engaged.
  • Maintain accurate candidate stages, notes, dispositions + activity within the ATS.
  • Support offer and pre-employment processes in partnership with the broader Talent Acquisition team.

Beauty School + Community Recruiting

  • Build relationships with Esthetics and Cosmetology schools across assigned markets.
  • Develop pipelines of students approaching graduation and licensure.
  • Coordinate career fairs, classroom presentations + other school recruiting events.
  • Maintain relationships with instructors and career services teams to position EWC Growth as an employer of choice for new graduates.
  • Think creatively about local sourcing through community groups, referrals + grassroots recruiting.

Hiring Manager Partnership

  • Partner closely with Center Sales Directors + field leadership to understand staffing needs, scheduling gaps, and hiring priorities.
  • Provide regular updates on applicant flow, interviews + pipeline health.
  • Help identify centers experiencing applicant shortages and adjust sourcing efforts accordingly.
  • Create a strong partnership between TA and the field by being responsive, organized + solutions-oriented.
What Success Looks Like

You’ll help ensure our centers have a consistent pipeline of qualified Wax Specialist talent by moving candidates quickly, building relationships before we need them, and creating an experience that makes people excited to join EWC Growth.

Success in this role means developing strong partnerships with center leadership, maintaining healthy candidate pipelines, increasing engagement with local beauty schools, and ultimately helping us put talented Wax Specialists behind the wax suites.

RequirementsWhat We’re Looking For
  • 1+ years of recruiting, staffing, HR, sales, customer service, or high-volume retail experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Previous exposure to beauty, spa, wellness, retail, hospitality, or service-based businesses is a plus.
  • Interest in building a career within Talent Acquisition.
  • Comfortable conducting multiple candidate conversations throughout the day.
  • Strong written + verbal communication skills.
  • Naturally organized and comfortable managing multiple open positions and priorities.
  • Able to work with a sense of urgency without sacrificing the candidate experience.
  • Comfortable using data to understand where recruiting efforts are working — and where additional attention is needed.
  • Willingness to learn an ATS; previous experience with another ATS or HRIS platform preferred.
  • Positive, curious + coachable with a willingness to jump in and learn.

Benefits
  • Base salary range of $45,000-$50,000 + bonus per hire once 90-day guarantee is fulfilled!
  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance + Pet Insurance for your furry friends!
  • Monthly Work-from-Home & Cellphone Stipend
