About the role

As a Junior Software Developer, you'll work closely with senior engineers to develop, test, and maintain web applications and software solutions for our clients. You'll contribute to both front-end and back-end development, participate in code reviews, and gain hands-on experience with modern development tools and frameworks. This role offers excellent opportunities for mentorship, technical growth, and career advancement.

Responsibilities

Software Development

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Build front-end interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Develop back-end APIs and services using technologies such as Node.js, .NET, Java, or similar.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards.

Testing & Quality

  • Assist in writing unit tests and performing basic application testing.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.
  • Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality.
  • Help ensure applications are secure, reliable, and performant.

Collaboration

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with designers, QA engineers, and senior developers throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively.

Continuous Learning

  • Learn new programming languages, frameworks, and development tools.
  • Stay current with software development best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Take advantage of mentorship opportunities and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Basic knowledge of at least one front-end framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Basic experience with one back-end technology such as Node.js, .NET, Java, Python, or PHP.
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
  • Understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional software development environment.

Nice to Have

  • Internship, freelance, academic, or personal project experience.
  • Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Basic knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, or Agile methodologies.
  • A GitHub portfolio or personal projects demonstrating coding skills.
