Hourly Pay Range:

$19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Lab Assistant II
  • Location: Edward Hospital 800 S. Washington St. Naperville, IL.
  • FTE: 1.0 FTE (40 hrs./week)
  • HOURS: 6:30am-3pm;  Monday through Friday; Includes every other weekend and holiday rotations

What you will do:

Under close supervision of the supervisor or Medical Lab Scientist, and according to detailed instructions, performs Waived and moderate complexity procedures in accordance with established departmental procedures and professional standards. 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in biological or chemistry science
  • Minimum one year of previous clinical lab experience
  • Ability to understand instructions and make judgments
  • A strong orientation to detail to ensure proper labeling of patient specimens, verification of patient information and correct input of data and the ability to perceive similarities and differences in color
