Lead, AI Product Operations:
Do you have a passion for building great products that deliver measurable value? Do you believe that Product Operations can be the secret ingredient in driving high-performing product teams? Are you energized by the opportunity to embed AI into how a team thinks and operates — not just what it ships? Are you looking for a role that can have a major impact on a growing company? If the answer to all of the above is YES, we may have the perfect role for you.
Position Summary
The Lead, AI Product Operations will serve as the operational backbone of MacroHealth's product organization. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer this is a high-leverage, cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of process design, AI adoption, data and analytics, and go-to-market execution.
You’ll own the systems and rituals that help our product teams move with speed and clarity — from how we structure discovery to how we launch products to market. You’ll lead MacroHealth’s AI enablement agenda, ensuring that PMs, designers, and cross-functional partners are equipped to use AI tools effectively across the full product development lifecycle (AI-PDLC). And you’ll be the operational owner of New Product Introductions (NPI), coordinating the cross-functional readiness required to bring new products and features to market reliably.
This role requires a builder — someone who loves creating the infrastructure that lets great product work happen, who sees process gaps before they become problems, and who brings both the strategic vision and the operational discipline to close them. The Lead will work closely with the CPO, VP of Product Management, and cross-functional leadership to continuously evolve how MacroHealth’s product organization operates and scales.
Key Accountabilities:
Product Operations & Operating Rhythm
- Own and evolve MacroHealth’s product operating model: planning cadences, team rituals, documentation standards, and tooling infrastructure.
- Design and implement scalable product management processes and workflows that grow with the organization.
- Manage a consistent schedule around planning, execution, and communication — including sprint planning, roadmap reviews, portfolio planning, and retrospectives.
- Track and improve product org health metrics, including delivery predictability, roadmap accuracy, and cross-functional alignment.
- Identify and eliminate friction across the product org; build durable solutions that scale with the team.
- Partner with Engineering, Design, Data, and GTM stakeholders to streamline handoffs, improve communication, and reduce rework.
- Work closely with the CPO and product leadership to ensure ongoing evolution and effectiveness of the operating model.
AI Enablement & AI-PDLC
- Define and execute MacroHealth’s AI enablement strategy for the product organization — covering tooling, workflows, training, and adoption measurement.
- Champion AI-native approaches across the full product development lifecycle: discovery, prioritization, spec writing, research synthesis, analytics, experimentation, and iteration.
- Curate and manage the product team’s AI tool stack; evaluate new tools using structured maturity, ROI, and responsible-use frameworks.
- Measure the organization’s AI adoption progress; identify gaps and build targeted programs to close them.
- Create practical playbooks, prompt libraries, templates, and training programs that help teams use AI effectively, responsibly, and at scale.
- Conceive, develop, and deploy AI-powered product capabilities or internal tools that demonstrate the art of the possible for the broader team.
- Stay current on the rapidly evolving AI tools and practices landscape — and bring that intelligence back to the team in actionable, opinionated ways.
Data, Analytics & Insights
- Build and maintain product analytics dashboards and reporting systems that give product managers and leadership clear visibility into product performance.
- Analyze product usage data, user feedback, and performance metrics to surface actionable insights.
- Track and report on key product KPIs and success metrics across the portfolio.
- Collaborate with data and engineering teams to ensure proper instrumentation, tracking, and data quality across systems.
- Support strategic decision-making through structured market research, competitive analysis, and performance benchmarking.
New Product Introductions (NPI) & Launch Excellence
- Own the end-to-end NPI process: from internal alignment and readiness reviews through market launch and post-launch retrospectives.
- Develop and maintain NPI frameworks, launch checklists, and go/no-go criteria in partnership with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
- Drive cross-functional launch readiness — ensuring Legal, Compliance, Customer Success, Support, and Revenue teams are prepared well ahead of each launch.
- Track launch milestones and surface risks early; keep senior leadership informed through clear, structured updates.
- Establish post-launch review cadences to capture learnings and systematically feed them back into the roadmap and operating model.
Tools, Systems & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Evaluate, implement, and maintain product management tools and platforms; ensure integrations between product, engineering, and data systems.
- Manage product feedback loops from customer support and sales teams, ensuring insights reach the right product owners with appropriate context.
- Coordinate Portfolio Planning with the CPO and, at times, act as liaison between the product team and executive leadership.
- Facilitate communication across product, engineering, design, marketing, customer success, and sales teams to reduce silos and accelerate execution.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in product management, product operations, program management, or a related strategy/operations role at a technology company.
- Demonstrated experience in a product operations or ‘PM of PMs’ capacity: owning cross-functional processes, tooling, and team operating rhythms.
- Conceived, developed, and deployed AI products or AI-powered workflows, successfully scaling solutions to broader adoption.
- Hands-on, practical experience with AI tools in a product or operational context — e.g., using LLMs for research synthesis, spec writing, data analysis, or workflow automation.
- Experience owning or co-owning a product launch or NPI process, including cross-functional coordination across GTM, Engineering, and Operations.
- Strong analytical skills with experience building product dashboards, tracking KPIs, and translating data into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership and working across functions with competing priorities.
- Strong systems thinker: you see process gaps before they become problems and build solutions that are practical and durable.
- High tolerance for ambiguity — you can define structure where none exists and bring people along with you.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Comes to work every day with a passion for our customers and industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare technology, health data, or regulated industries — familiarity with payer, TPA, or provider-facing products is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with AI maturity model frameworks (e.g., Gartner, MITRE, or similar).
- Background in B2B SaaS product organizations, particularly those serving enterprise or health plan customers.
- Experience with product analytics platforms and agile tooling (Jira, Linear, Productboard, or similar).
- Prior experience building or scaling a product operations function from the ground up.
- Experience in a scaling software company (Series A–C or comparable growth-stage environment).
- Certification in product management, agile methodologies, or AI/ML-related disciplines.
Soft Skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills — with the credibility to engage executive stakeholders and deeply technical teams alike.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities in complex, multi-dependency environments.
- Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail and comfort managing ambiguity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, remote-first environment.
- Natural facilitator of cross-functional collaboration across product, engineering, sales, and operations teams.
Reporting Structure
This role reports directly to the Chief Product Officer and works closely with the VP of Product Management, Product Managers, Engineering leads, Design, Marketing, and other cross-functional partners across the MacroHealth organization.
