We’re looking for a hands-on, business-minded attorney to own all commercial contracting at SpecterOps. You will be the primary legal partner for our Sales, Customer Success, Security, and Procurement teams, and you’ll guide and mentor members of the contracts/legal staff. This role is ideal for someone who loves commercial deals, enjoys working directly with the business, and wants to improve an existing playbook while advancing people, process, and technology capabilities. 

Salary Range: $175,000-$225,000 base salary, commensurate of experience   

Location: This position is remote, based in the U.S. with optional travel quarterly for in-person company events and other ad hoc meetings.  

  • Candidate must be authorized to work and reside in the United States; we do not currently sponsor immigration visas. 

Responsibilities  

  • Lead negotiation and drafting of customer MSAs, SOWs, order forms, renewals, amendments, DPAs, and vendor SaaS/service agreements. 
  •  Improve the existing contracts playbook by identifying gaps and clarifying fallback positions. 
  • Enhance the contracts function through better people, process, and technology alignment. 
  • Partner with Sales, Security, Finance, and Procurement to balance risk with deal velocity. 
  • Provide guidance and leadership to members of the contracts/legal staff. 
  • Work with outside counsel as needed and help shape the future operating model of the legal/contracts function. 

Requirements  

  • 8+ years of experience focused on commercial contracts in B2B SaaS, ideally in cybersecurity. 
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to create or improve templates and playbooks. 
  • Excellent attention to detail, prioritization, and practical judgment. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Ability to maintain the highest standard of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism 
  • JD and active license required.

  • Contracts operate with high autonomy, with standard deals handled efficiently by staff. 
  • The balance between risk protection and deal speed is optimized.

  • Processes and tools are standardized so that business teams engage legal efficiently. 
  • The company has confidence that contracts are well-managed and predictable.
