Experian is looking for a Lead Data Scientist to join our Global Analytics team within Experian Software Solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work on impactful AI and machine learning projects, contribute to solutions, and grow alongside experienced scientists and engineers. You will help build and support machine learning models and AI systems that power Experian's products and services. You will work remotely and report to the Senior Director of Analytics and AI.

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of data assets across the full credit and fraud lifecycle, ensuring strong regulatory compliance and risk governance.
  • Conduct rigorous benchmarking and champion/challenger analyses to compare external data assets against internal attributes, scores, and predictive models, ensuring measurable lift, ROI and benefits.
  • Develop advanced machine learning solutions and algorithms to solve complex analytical challenges.
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI/ML systems with a focus on multi-agent and intelligent systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and analytics teams to translate cutting-edge research into impactful solutions.
  • Stay current with advancements in AI/ML and proactively integrate emerging technologies into Experian's solutions

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience driving data science, credit risk and advanced analytics initiatives at scale within financial services industry
  • Advanced degree in statistics, data science, AI/ML or related field
  • Expertise with machine learning algorithms and processes (such as xgboost, GANs, hyperparameter tuning, clustering, graph algorithms)
  • Expertise in knowledge of modern language models (Transformers, GPT APIs, SLMs, RLHF), and agent-based architectures
  • Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, AWS)
