CVS Health is transforming its approach to sports sponsorships, leveraging marquee partnerships as strategic enterprise assets to strengthen our brand and drive business impact. As Lead Director, Enterprise Sponsorship Strategy & Operations, you will serve as a critical strategic partner to the Executive Director and play a central role in building and scaling a best-in-class sponsorship function.

In this role, you will drive strategic clarity, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment across the sponsorship portfolio. You will partner closely with leadership to synthesize complex inputs into clear priorities, shape executive-level narratives, and ensure the function operates with focus, rigor, and measurable impact.

You bring a deep understanding of stakeholder management within a complex enterprise, recognizing sponsorships as a uniquely powerful platform that connects and influences a broad ecosystem of internal and external partners.

This role is ideal for a highly strategic operator who thrives at the intersection of strategy, communication, and execution—and is energized by bringing clarity, alignment, and momentum to complex, high-visibility initiatives.

This is a remote or hybrid role depending on location and open to candidates based in the US only.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Executive Partnership:

Partner closely with the Executive Director to shape sponsorship strategy, define priorities, and translate enterprise goals into actionable plans. Develop executive-ready materials and recommendations that clearly articulate strategy, progress, and impact to senior leadership.

Executive Communications, Stakeholder Alignment & Strategic Storytelling:

Synthesize inputs from across the sponsorship function into clear, concise, and compelling executive updates. Translate complex initiatives into strategic pillars and narratives aligned to enterprise priorities, ensuring senior leaders have clarity on direction, performance, and impact.

Team Operations & Governance:

Serve as a central point of coordination for the sponsorship function—driving prioritization, operating rhythms, and governance. Establish effective processes, forums, and ways of working to enable a highly coordinated, high-performing team.

Communications Integration:

Lead the development of a unified approach to sponsorship communications across internal and external channels. Partner with Brand and Communications teams to ensure consistent messaging, storytelling, and amplification of key initiatives.

Measurement & Performance Excellence:

Oversee the design and implementation of measurement frameworks, KPIs, and dashboards. Ensure consistent tracking and reporting across the portfolio, and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with Brand Strategy, Activation, Insights, Communications, Merchandising, and other key partners to ensure sponsorships are fully integrated and aligned to enterprise objectives. Navigate and activate a complex stakeholder ecosystem, recognizing sponsorships as a central hub with far-reaching impact across the organization.

Operational Excellence & Capability Building:

Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and capabilities across the sponsorship function. Help scale the operating model and embed best practices as the team grows.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, building strong relationships and driving alignment across the organization. Ensure clear communication, transparency, and shared understanding of priorities and performance.
