Position Summary

As a Director of PBM Product Innovation, you will direct a small team that is leading the evolution of our innovative and transparent PBM pricing models. You will be critical to the successful growth of the PBM business as you bring to market vital initiatives focused on meeting the prescription benefit needs of our clients. In this high visibility leadership role, you will work at the intersection of product development, marketing, and sales. You must have strong project management discipline to ensure comprehensive solution vetting and completion of projects within accelerated timelines. You must possess the skill of creating coherent storylines which convey value to various stakeholders, to earn executive and business partner buy-in on strategy recommendations and help shape communications that demonstrate the value of our best in-class solutions. Finally, you must have highly developed relationship-building and influencing skills to foster effective working relationships across the organization.

 

Key responsibilities include:

·        Continuously assessing market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory dynamics to inform direction, guide teams to solve problems, and to rapidly deliver new solutions to the market.

·        Influence decision making by working closely with senior executives and business partners at all levels of the organization to understand business goals, client needs, and operational feasibility

·        Defining and evolving product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmaps aligned to enterprise and client needs

·        Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement through data and feedback

·        Managing multiple concurrent initiatives, prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment

·        Collaborating cross-functionally to gain knowledge of high-level product strategy as well as product details to clearly articulate the value to the market.

·        Simplifying complex pricing and financial strategies to develop strategic product positioning.

·        Communicating and presenting effectively to educate internal and external stakeholders on current product messaging.

·        Supporting go to market efforts by developing ideal client fit criteria, forecasting, analyzing the market, and applying client feedback.

·        Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.

·        Supporting CVS Health in attracting, retaining, and engaging a diverse and inclusive consumer-centric workforce that delivers on our purpose and reflects the communities in which we work, live, and serve.

Required Qualifications

The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the company’s business, as well as significant interaction with business leaders. The candidate will be expected to have the following key attributes:

  • 7 + years of progressive experience in product management, strategy, enablement, or innovation within PBM, pharmacy, health plans, or healthcare services.
  • 3 + years of people management experience
  • 10 + years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Direct experience with PBM pricing models and strategic positioning

  • Strong business and financial acumen including pricing strategy
  • Curiosity: collaborates with business partners to understand their strategy, problems, and goals; works with senior leaders to identify opportunities to implement solutions.
  • Communication: confident, succinct verbal communicator; produces effective written communication with little input from senior leader.
  • Detail Orientation: sets priorities and executes strategy for the organization. Leads development of solutions with high complexity and risk with business area implications.

Education

Bachelors Degree, advanced Degree Preferred; may consider comparable work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
