We are currently seeking a Traveling Lead Foreman to oversee and execute heavy commercial electrical projects across various industrial sites. While the job environments are industrial, the scopes of work typically involve straightforward but time-sensitive tasks. This role is ideal for a motivated leader who thrives under pressure, works well with a team, and takes initiative to solve problems and drive results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a minimum crew of 4 (typically 2 licensed electricians and 2 apprentices) on each job site
- Manage project timelines, labor, and site coordination under strict deadlines
- Read and interpret blueprints, one-lines, and electrical schematics
- Execute and oversee a range of electrical work including:
- Conduit and wiring installations
- Generator and UPS system installations
- Low- and medium-voltage systems
- Maintain daily communication with project managers and office staff
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and project specifications
- Provide clear and professional verbal and written communication
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience leading larger-scale commercial or industrial electrical projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in the field
- Desire and ability to work up to 60 hours per week
- Willingness to travel extensively; travel is a key requirement for this role
- Ability to work independently and lead a team with minimal supervision
- High level of accountability, reliability, and professionalism
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician License is a MUST
- 5+ years of field experience in electrical construction
- Prior leadership or foreman experience is strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of electrical codes, installation practices, and jobsite safety
- Proficiency with blueprint and schematic reading
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
