Summary

The Lead MDM (Master Data Management) Developer is responsible for the overall architecture, design, and implementation of our Stibo STEP Master Data Management (MDM) platform, supporting both Product and Customer domains. This role partners closely with the Product Owner, business stakeholders, data stewards, architects, and technical teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-performing solutions. In addition to hands-on development, this leader will coach and mentor junior developers, ensuring alignment with IT best practices in testing, release management, and documentation.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Data Engineering and Management, you will use solid technical judgement designing and maturing our MDM solutions. You understand the levers of modern MDM platforms, understand purpose-driven system architecture, and can see around corners to anticipate dependencies, risks, and customer impact. You champion a culture of continuous improvement.

This is a remote position in the USA with an Eastern Time Zone schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop and support the data structure designs, validations, workflows, and integrations in our customer data management, product information management, and related systems
  • Collaborate with product owners, data stewards, data domain owners, and other data engineers and architects to maintain system SLAs and stability, addressing unplanned work while executing against planned project work and enhancements to meet internal and external customer requirements
  • Build, document, and maintain an understanding of master data dependencies across our global data systems, enterprise, and regional business systems dependent on them
  • Convert requirements into elegant, cleanly designed, and easily maintained solutions in a cloud-based environment
  • Mentor and guide junior developers in MDM development practices, emphasizing quality assurance, release processes, coding best practices, and documentation standards
  • Achieve and maintain data compliance to legal and regulatory standards such as the USA’s Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Drive innovation, automation, and best practices in master data management, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties as needed or required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer programming, computer engineering or related field preferred, or comparable job-related experience and training
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience working in Information Technology leading or being a part of engineering teams
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Stibo STEP MDM solutions, in both Product and Customer domains
  • Proven track record in leading solution design and development in large-scale, enterprise environments

Certificates, License & Registrations

  • Stibo STEP certifications in the following areas required: MDM Solution Design, MDM Solution Fundamentals, Workflows and Web UIs, Data Modeling, Data Management
  • Stibo STEP certifications in the following areas are preferred: MDM Solution Architecture,

Competencies (Skills & Abilities)

  • Building and maintaining data designs, validation rules, user interface, and workflows using Stibo Systems
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or other scripting languages, and data modeling
  • Experience executing data migration processes
  • Experience working with multiple database systems (Snowflake, MySQL), and cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
  • Exposure to integration tools (Boomi)
  • Thrives and self-motivates in a fast-moving remote work environment, working on a variety of projects and technologies in an agile, team-based culture
  • Self-starting with strong technical skills, problem solving abilities, organizational skills, and detail-orientation
  • Communicates comfortably and effectively using the appropriate level of detail with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative and consensus driven environment and comfortable with ambiguity and change in a fast-paced environment

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case. Sales Positions are eligible for a Variable Incentive.

The pay range for this position is as follows:

$102,400-$146,300
