We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scrum Master & Project Manager with extensive experience in managing Scrum and Waterfall Project methodologies. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Agile practices, with a proven ability to create and enforce standards for Scrum processes and tools like JIRA and Azure DevOps. This role involves leading multiple Agile teams, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring successful delivery of high-quality products. The ideal candidate should also possess project management experience and the ability to lead small to medium-sized projects using agile, waterfall, or hybrid methodologies when needed.
RESPONSIBLIITIES:
- Facilitate Scrum Processes: Guide and coach Scrum teams on Agile/Scrum principles and practices, ensuring adherence to the Agile framework. Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and cross-team collaboration. Maintain and track Agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.) to enhance delivery efficiency.
- Scrum Standards Development: Develop, implement, and maintain standards and best practices for Scrum processes. Establish guidelines for Agile ceremonies, team interactions, and deliverables to ensure consistency across teams.
- Project Management: Lead small to mid-size projects from initiation to closure, ensuring scope, timeline, and budget adherence. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk registers, and status reports. Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to align project objectives. Track project progress and escalate risks or blockers with mitigation strategies. Manage resource allocation and project dependencies efficiently.
- Tools: Leverage expertise in JIRA and Azure DevOps to manage and optimize sprint planning, backlog grooming, and team capacity tracking. Working knowledge of the Microsoft project, Smartsheet and excel is mandatory.
- Reporting: Design and maintain comprehensive reporting dashboards that provide insights into team performance, sprint progress, and potential bottlenecks. Regularly report on Agile metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders, highlighting risks, dependencies, and areas for improvement.
- Mentoring: Mentor and coach less experienced scrum masters, project managers and agile team members, promoting best practices and fostering a collaborative Agile environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree required in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Scrum Master role
- Minimum of 3 years of experience waterfall project management
- Experience working in large-scale Agile transformations and managing complex projects.
- Experience in managing multiple scrum teams
- Extensive experience with JIRA and Azure DevOps, including tool administration, reporting, and process optimization.
- Proven experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and successful implementation across multiple teams.
- Ability to present complex project status and metrics to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
Certifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
- Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP)
- SAFe Agilist (SA) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification is plus.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall project management and SAFe.
- Expertise in JIRA, Azure DevOps and Microsoft project for managing sprints, team capacity, and reporting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and drive change.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to removing impediments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Background on managing technology projects
- Background in change management, particularly in transitioning organizations to Agile frameworks.
- Knowledge of Lean practices and how they integrate with Agile methodologies to improve team efficiency and product delivery.

Additional Information:
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $105,000 USD - $165,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
