The Lead, Retail Customer Marketing will develop and execute retail media strategies aimed at driving business growth and increasing sales for our retail partners. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive, customer-specific media plans that maximize retail media opportunities. The Lead, Retail Customer Marketing will serve as a thought leader in digital innovation and marketing strategies, ensuring the effective use of marketing dollars, and will be responsible for measuring and communicating the performance of media campaigns to stakeholders. This position requires a blend of strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making to ensure optimal results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute customer-specific retail media strategies that align with business goals, driving growth and incrementality across retail channels

  • Serve as the retail media lead within the media team, working closely with agency partners, sales, and analytics teams to create integrated media strategies that support both sell-in and sell-through objectives

  • Act as a digital thought leader, identifying and promoting digital innovation to elevate retail media strategies. Share insights and emerging trends to continuously enhance our holistic media approach

  • Work in partnership with marketing analytics to ensure the clear and consistent reporting of media performance, test plans, and outcomes. Utilize advanced marketing measurement models to assess effectiveness and guide future decisions

  • Partner with major advertising platforms, research partners, and retail media networks to optimize marketing spend and improve the impact of media investments

  • Provide direction, guidance, and mentorship to direct reports (as applicable), motivating teams to achieve campaign goals and maintain high performance. Ensure alignment with broader organizational goals and foster a collaborative team environment

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of retail media campaigns, ensuring projects are managed efficiently, on budget, and in line with timelines. Contribute to policy and program development to improve operational processes

  • Leverage quantitative, qualitative, and trend data to draw insights, inform media decisions, and drive business results. Identify gaps in processes and recommend solutions to optimize performance

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across various teams (sales, creative, product, analytics) to align on retail media strategies, ensuring effective collaboration and the achievement of shared goals

  • Clearly articulate media strategy, results, and insights to key stakeholders at multiple internal and external levels. Tailor communication methods to suit the audience while ensuring transparency and clarity

  • Anticipate operational challenges and develop proactive measures to mitigate risks, streamline execution, and ensure successful campaign implementation.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and the integration of best practices into retail media campaigns, ensuring continuous evolution and growth of the program

  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams

  • Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in retail marketing, digital media, or related roles, with a focus on media strategy and campaign execution

The pay range for this position is $97,700.00 - $157,475.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
