Description

The Lead Sales Associate is responsible for assisting the Resale Store Manager. The Lead Sales Associate performs the duties of the Sales Associate and acts in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain a positive, professional work environment

• Provide exceptional customer service

• Motivate sales staff to achieve net profitability goals

• Understand WINGS and Store policies and procedures

• Ensure consistent pricing with the other WINGS stores, per pricing from the Logistics Center

• Under the direction of the Manager, perform daily inspections of all store departments to ensure proper inventory replenishment

• Provide excellent communications within the store

• Ensure communications from Manager are delivered to all staff in a timely fashion

• Open and close the store under specific direction of the Resale Store Manager or Chief Operations Officer

• During weekly interaction inform Resale Store Manager of any problems or issues with staff and/or volunteers

• Complete, on a timely basis, all administrative work as assigned by Manager

• In the absence of the Manager, ensure staff and volunteers are supported and have the resources to perform their jobs

• Perform additional duties typically performed by the Store Manager in their absence

Requirements

• Two years of retail experience, which includes customer service

• Associates Degree preferred, but not required

• Bilingual preferred

• Professionalism: Strong and timely written and verbal communication skills

• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

• Excellent time management

• Excellent proactive planning

• Willing to report to work on short notice in the absence of proper store coverage

• Willing to work weekends and holidays as needed

• Patience in working with a diverse (volunteer and staff) workforce.

• Strong problem-solving abilities; ability to be decisive in unpredictable situations

• Good computer knowledge (Word, Excel, and retail applications)

• Ability to handle physical requirements to accomplish daily responsibilities, including but not limited to: lifting up to 35 pounds using both hands/arms on a regular basis and standing for 8 hours.
