The Role
We are looking for a Lead UI/UX Designer to play a key role in shaping the user experience of our platform. This is an individual contributor role that will partner with product and engineering to influence the product roadmap and translate the long-term vision into a tangible design strategy.
You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end design process, from research to final designs, including wireframing, prototyping, and final visual designs—helping to ensure a seamless and engaging experience for our users. You’ll say “no” to complexity and advocate for simplicity and user friendly experiences.
This is a hybrid role (3 days in-office) based out of Chicago’s West Loop.

What you'll do...
- Build, maintain, and scale a comprehensive Design System to ensure visual and functional consistency as the product grows
- Define the brand’s visual identity and personality across all digital touchpoints.
- Own the end-to-end UI/UX design process, from research and wireframing to high-fidelity designs and prototyping.
- Translate complex workflows into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
- Collaborate with product and engineering to define and refine product experiences.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to inform design decisions.
- Ensure consistency in UI components and interactions across the platform.
- Advocate for the user while balancing business goals and technical constraints.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of UI/UX design experience, in SaaS, B2C products preferred.
- Strong portfolio showcasing experience in interaction design, user research, and visual design.
- Proficiency in Figma.
- Ability to create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Strong understanding of usability principles, accessibility, and responsive design.
- Deep empathy for the 'mental load' of homeowners; ability to turn boring administrative tasks into delightful, effortless moments.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions.
- Experience collaborating closely with engineers and product teams to implement designs.
- Strong problem-solving ability; able to simplify complex workflows into elegant solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in 0-to-1 product development
- Proven experience leading the design of a product through successful market launch
- Experience designing for real estate or property management applications.
- Basic understanding of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to bridge design and engineering.
