ABOUT THE POSITION
The Lead UI / UX Designer leads the discipline pod and owns interface quality, usability standards, and player experience across multiple projects and genres. This role combines hands-on design leadership with mentorship, quality oversight, and cross-discipline collaboration.
- Lead and mentor a pod of UI/UX designers across projects
- Define and maintain UI/UX standards, workflows, and best practices
- Review and approve UI/UX designs for quality and usability
- Collaborate with other department leads
- Communicate UI/UX intent clearly to internal teams and clients
- Ensure accessibility, readability, and scalability across projects
- Maintain high-quality documentation and handoff processes
- Experience leading or mentoring UI/UX designers
- Deep understanding of game UI/UX across multiple genres
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Experience working in co-development or multi-project environments
- Ability to balance creative quality with production constraints
- Proficient knowledge of industry-standard UI/UX design tools
- Familiarity with collaborations and handoff tools used in game development pipelines
