As our Global Customs Manager, you’ll join the most experienced team at Flexport, you will help lead our Customs Brokerage Team to ensure client success. You'll be working alongside and learning from some of the smartest people in the logistics industry as we challenge the status quo and reduce the friction in global trade. You will:
- Explain and maintain up to date complex knowledge of US import/export regulatory requirements to the customs team members and/or clients concerning all the rules and regulations of the 19 CFR and be the bridge between clients and US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Participating Government Agencies (PGA’s).
- Identify and collaborate with internal stakeholders in the development of key operational efficiencies through automation.
- Own all aspects of managing and growing the Customs Brokerage organization in terms of day to day operations, account growth, and workload balancing.
You should have:
- U.S. Customs broker license BS/BA Degree and approximately 5 or more years of related work experience in the industry.
- Experience leading a team to success.
- The ability to recommend and drive decisions while ensuring compliance with customs regulations, rules, and policies.
- Excellent information seeking skills and drive to make things happen.
- The ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas, and develop effective responses.
