THE JOB

Live Nation is seeking a National Sustainability Coordinator to support the successful implementation of the Green Nation environmental Charter across our U.S. venue portfolio. Under the guidance of the Sustainability Operations Manager, you will assist in the deployment, coordination, and improvement of regional strategies and localized action plans aligned with national objectives. This role will support regional and venue sustainability teams, update and evolve educational/training documents, develop and lead sustainability trainings, conduct periodical venue site visits to identify opportunities and areas of improvement, coordinate and participate in weekly calls with regional leads, and compile, organize, and communicate sustainability metrics across regions. While a priority focus area for this role is to support and expand on activities related to material circularity targets (e.g., waste reduction, reuse, and efficiency) this role may also support other sustainability objectives within the Charter and beyond.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

Regional Venue Support:

  • Serve as coordinator for regional and venue teams, executing day-to-day tasks to support venue development, training, and improvement.
  • Help maintain and grow a centralized resource repository to scale sustainability solutions across the U.S. venue portfolio.
  • Execute a strong venue support model, including but not limited to coordinating monthly, bi- weekly meetings, office hours, 1:1s with venues, and being prepared to put together and communicate gap analysis reports and progress reports.
  • Identify common thematic challenges across venue operations teams and coordinate tools, tracking mechanisms, and resources to support improvement
  • On occasion, step in to support venue crews during marquee or high-visibility venue productions.

Design, Innovation, and Storytelling

  • Support the successful implementation programming, technologies and innovations across regions and into new venue categories.
  • Compile innovative solutions from across regions to assess feasibility and identify growth opportunities in other markets and venue types.
  • Assist high-visibility artist activations and engagements (e.g., Green Riders) across multiple regions.
  • Work with creative teams to build and deploy presentations, digital communications, and onsite assets.
  • Research and coordinate submissions to third-party recognition systems.

Administrative and Analytical Support:

  • Coordinate pre-season venue resources including toolkits, orientation materials, signage, procurement guides and educational programming.
  • Support with cross-departmental resources and projects throughout the season.
  • Support pre-season Venue Sustainability Manager onboarding plans and meetings for new and returning personnel.
  • Support the Sustainability Operations Manager to:
  • Administer venue data tracking systems including energy, water, waste, stakeholder surveys, and more.
  • Summarize venue analytics into clear and visual mid-season and post-season reports for leadership to understand areas for improvement.

Venue Travel and Assessments:

  • Upon supervisor request, travel to venues to support audits, assessments, major projects, and significant artist activations.
  • Effectively manage travel budget (up to 20% travel anticipated during peak seasons)

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • At least 2 years in one of the following: operations/event coordination, event or campus sustainability/zero waste events
  • At least 2 years in a leadership position preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following: data and analytics, supply chain and waste systems, marketing and communications, built environment, energy systems and policy, NGO and community partnerships, climate resiliency.
  • Comprehensive understanding of technical environmental concepts and their unique impacts on the live music and entertainment industry
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to analyze large datasets in Excel, and effectively communicate insights through visually engaging reports and presentations in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in using SharePoint, Google Drive, and Asana for program management and organization, leveraging these tools to effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to adjust to changing demands and determine when to work quickly or meticulously based on the project needs.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and self-direction in completing tasks.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles to various stakeholders (peers, venue staff, leadership) to ensure clarity and collaboration.
