Primary Purpose
The Partner Manager - Delivery supports the execution and management of third-party vendor relationships across Marketplace and White Label Delivery, specifically focusing on the accountability and day-to-day partnership with all 3rd Party delivery partners. This position plays a key role in driving operational excellence and aligning delivery initiatives with the strategic ambitions of ADUSA and its local brands, contributing to over $1 billion in annual revenue and 10 million annual deliveries.
This position is responsible for holding the 3rd Party partners accountable by managing and monitoring the performance and execution of existing Marketplace and White Label Delivery partnerships. They will do this by ensuring adherence to contractual terms, service level agreements (SLAs), and brand-specific operational standards. The Partner Manager provides support to the Senior Manager of Delivery Partnerships and the ADUSA Brands to optimize processes, identify opportunities, resolve issues, and ensure consistent execution while driving efficiency and quality, including metrics like on-time performance and delivery accuracy.
Working closely with cross-functional teams and local operators, this role delivers data-driven insights, facilitates business reviews, and acts as a subject matter expert on integration details and performance metrics. By collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners, the Partner Manager ensures delivery partnerships meet organizational goals and enhance the overall customer experience by holding them accountable to the ADUSA standards.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Chicago, IL.

Duties & Responsibilities
As a member of the Last Mile Solutions team, a Partner Manager works to:
- Partnership Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all delivery partners, fostering a collaborative relationship, enforcing accountability while addressing challenges, and identifying growth opportunities both for 3rd Party Marketplace as well as White Label Delivery.
- Partner Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of 3rd party performance metrics, technical functionality and integration details to provide operational and strategic insights that enhance collaboration and execution.
- Brand Advocate: Serve as the subject matter expert for our five grocery brands, aligning delivery initiatives across Marketplace and White Label Delivery with their goals and advocating for their priorities with internal and external stakeholders by holding our third-party partners accountable to meet our SLAs.
- Operational Oversight: Manage and monitor delivery program performance, address operational opportunities, and implement process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and efficiency by using available data and insights.
- Weekly Business Reviews: Lead weekly business reviews with grocery brands and with delivery partners to provide performance updates, discuss metrics, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Contract Management and Negotiation: Support Senior Manager of Delivery Partnerships in managing partnership contracts, ensuring terms align with business objectives, and enforce adherence to SLAs to maintain high standards of performance and accountability.
- Strong Organizational and Presentation Skills: Maintain excellent organizational practices to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and create impactful presentations that clearly communicate data, insights, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Effective Team Contributor: Contribute to building a Last Mile Solutions department that demonstrates partnership behaviors, builds cross-functional connections, develops industry-leading expertise, puts development front and center, and fosters a culture of belonging.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the retail or eCommerce space with proven expertise in managing vendor relationships ideally in the Gig Economy.
- Demonstrated ability to manage third party SLAs and refund matrices effectively, ensuring strong delivery execution and high levels of customer satisfaction and issue resolution.
- Provides clear and timely communication across teams, ensuring alignment and transparency.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships, navigate complex discussions, and influence decisions professionally.
- Understands and anticipates the needs, expectations, and requirements of both internal and external stakeholders.
- Effectively communicates ideas to gain commitment and alignment from others.
- Leverages diverse relationships to exchange knowledge, resources, and innovative ideas.
