About the Role

Our Manager of Accounting & Financial Reporting will be a key member of a small corporate finance team. This position will be primarily responsible for leading external financial reporting, providing technical accounting research, oversight of the corporate accounting close process, and various other special projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and drive consistent application of U.S. GAAP.
  • Support oversight of month-end accounting close procedures, including review of manual and significant journal entries, account reconciliations, and roll forwards prepared by the accounting team.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to analyze and explain monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations, ensuring accuracy in monthly reporting.
  • Support preparation of monthly internal reporting package, including flash reports and cash flow analysis.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Prepare monthly borrowing base certificates and reporting related to the Company’s Credit Agreements.
  • Support the assessment and implementation of new accounting standards including
  • technical accounting research, developing new accounting processes as needed, and
  • preparing disclosures related to new accounting guidance.
  • Manage relationship with external auditors for matters related to financial reporting, including supporting schedules/reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with accounts payable team to enhance processes and controls around review and approval of invoices and processing of payments.
  • Work closely with accounts receivable team to improve collections process.
  • Lead and support initiatives to streamline and automate accounting processes, particularly in the areas of data and reporting.
  • Assist with special projects and needs of executive management, including new ERP implementation.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Active CPA license

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism
  • 4-5 years public accounting experience (preferably Big 4)
  • 3-5 years of recent financial reporting experience
  • Hyperion Essbase experience
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize, set priorities, meet deadlines and follow up in a timely manner

Compensation Range: $95,680.00 - $128,960.00

Claire’s is committed to adhering to all applicable company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations. All positions will be compensated at or above the legally mandated minimum wage for the location in which work is performed. The final compensation will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
