Position Summary: The Manager of Corporate Strategy will work as a core member of Excel’s Corporate Strategy team, and with the broader senior leadership team at Excel, to help devise and own Excel’s annual and multi-year strategic growth plans. In addition, the Manager of Corporate Strategy will be critical to the evaluation of key strategic growth opportunities, such as evaluating expansion into new markets, building business plans for new business extensions, and conducting extensive due diligence on acquisition / strategic investment targets.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design and direct the annual & quarterly strategic planning process.
  • Improve how the company communicates strategy & progress against plans.
  • Build and maintain KPI frameworks and dashboards; partner with BI/Data teams to operationalize metrics and automate reporting.
  • Track performance against declared investment areas and generate investment scorecards to inform resource allocation.
  • Work closely with Excel’s division heads and strategy team on key strategic growth initiatives and present findings and analysis.
  • Lead bespoke landscaping and market mapping exercises, delivering research and a point of view on the market opportunity, including recommending specific companies of interest.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly strategy and M&A meetings, quarterly board meetings, and in the preparation of annual budgeting and multi-year projection modeling.
  • Support the M&A process including pipeline management, prioritization and due diligence of potential acquisitions, and creation of materials for board approval.
  • Manage the coordination of Strategy team schedule and responsibilities related to tracking and follow-up.

Education & Experience:

  • Must have three or more years of consulting, investment banking, and/or M&A transaction-related experience.
  • Technology, media and entertainment experience a plus.

  • Must possess a strong work ethic, have an entrepreneurial mindset and, team-first attitude.
  • Must possess meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality work product.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion.
  • Must be able to think critically and drive decision making by co-coordinating and aligning with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency and/or training in financial modeling skills a major plus.

The pay range for this position is: $100,000 per year - $120,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus 

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
