Job Purpose and Impact
  • The Manager, Data Management & Governance role sets goals and objectives to ensure the achievement of the accuracy, security and effective use of the organization's data. This job develops and implements policies, data management and governance capabilities and ensures compliance with regulations while overseeing capabilities which enable data management and governance practices to be delivered effectively.

Key Accountabilities
  • Builds and guides the implementation of data governance policies through defining and operationalizing organizational procedures.
  • Oversees the delivery of data management and governance strategies to ensure alignment with organizational goals, serves as a key contributor to defining strategic roadmaps for implementation, acting as a data domain operations authority within given domain, and brings forward ideas for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensures data consistency and quality across relevant data domains and guides the team to ensure that policies are followed.
  • Reviews the accuracy, consistency and reliability of data throughout its lifecycle by monitoring data quality standards and metrics and setting corrective processes while implementing data quality audits as needed to ensure data standards are met.
  • Leads team to deliver and maintain data in accordance with standards and policies, defines procedures for efficient and streamlined operations and is accountable for maintaining operational excellence while improving data's availability and quality.
  • Handles data from initiation to decommissioning through the lifecycle to ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and that procedures are understood and followed by the team.
  • Develops, improves and leads the execution of data governance, risk and compliance processes and controls regarding data operations to mitigate risk and ensure alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Implements training programs to improve organizational literacy, compliance to data standards and policies and increased understanding of accountability for data responsibilities.
  • Manages team members to achieve the organization's goals, by ensuring productivity, communicating performance expectations, creating goal alignment, giving and seeking feedback, providing coaching, measuring progress and holding people accountable, supporting employee development, recognizing achievement and lessons learned, and developing enabling conditions for talent to thrive in an inclusive team culture.

Qualifications
  • Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.

Compensation Data
The expected salary for this position is $100,000 - $150,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
