THE ROLE

Our Blue Ops team specializes in strategic M&A advisory and business growth in private equity, investment banking, portfolio companies, and more. We are seeking an Associate to focus on financial due diligence, helping to expand our growing practice.   The manager will also play an important role in providing financial analysis, modeling, and business process support in client engagements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Due Diligence:
    • Execute financial due diligence and other engagements from inception to completion successfully.
    • Manage and prioritize multiple deadlines for client work
    • Ensure engagement objectives are met, deliverables produced, and deadlines achieved.
    • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and address project-related issues.
  • Quality of Earnings Analysis:
    • Execute Quality of Earnings, Net Working Capital, and Debt and Debt-like Analyses.
    • Analyze operational and financial data to provide insights into clients’ business performance.
    • Support client M&A due diligence efforts with financial modeling, analysis, and data reviews.
    • Generate comprehensive due diligence reports, including detailed financial findings and recommendations.
  • Client Interaction:
    • Serve as a contact point for clients, addressing their concerns and providing regular updates.
    • Deliver presentations to clients regarding performance, findings, and recommendations.
    • Advise clients on business system matters in partnership with the technology team.
  • Practice Growth and Development:
    • Assist with the growth of the financial due diligence practice, including developing training materials and proposals.
    • Lead training sessions and refine client deliverables.
    • Effectively delegate client work and help train Blue Ops team members in financial due diligence
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, promoting professional growth and continuous improvement.
  • Business Development:
    •  Help expand relationships with existing clients and collaborate with internal teams to expand relationships.   

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Financial due diligence experience at a top firm (experience in Technology industry is a plus).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related major.
  • CPA or in the process of obtaining a license; progress toward/completion of CFA designation preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience working in cross-functional environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of computer software, such as MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word,  Alteryx, MS Power Platform, etc.

  • Ability to use data analysis to develop insights that drive client value.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to generate full due diligence reports.
  • Capable of multi-tasking across projects of varying scope and complexity.
  • Adaptability and comfort with ambiguity, able to adapt on the fly.
  • Ability to influence and drive consensus across organizational functional areas.
  • Effectively execute engagements, including deliverable timelines, quality, customer satisfaction, and team effectiveness.
