The Role:

The Manager, Global Compensation is part of the Global Total Rewards team and is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and maintenance of the company’s global compensation strategy, policies, and programs. The role collaborates with HRIS and Finance for process and reporting support, assists with executive compensation materials, and ensures regulatory compliance. The role also involves supervising a compensation analyst, supporting HR partners, and guiding special projects to maintain competitive and compliant compensation practices. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and managing compensation programs across multiple geographies, an understanding of industry best practices, and the ability to analyze data and provide recommendations to management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and administer global compensation programs for different businesses across the globe that align with the company’s business goals and objectives.
  • Lead the periodic evaluation of compensation programs to ensure continued alignment with the needs of our global business(es), including salary structures and incentive plans.
  • Lead market analyses and competitive benchmarking efforts to ensure the company’s compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards.
  • Participate in job evaluation and role architecture projects, as needed.
  • Lead the annual company-wide compensation review process – ensuring pay adjustments and bonus guidelines are followed and implemented.
  • Create and implement compensation statements and other communication materials.
  • Assist in the development of materials presented to company leadership related to compensation, including preparing presentations, reports, and ad-hoc analyses.
  • Provide guidance and support to company leaders and global HR business partners on compensation related matters.
  • Provide analysis and insights on global compensation trends as well as federal, state, local, and/or provisional laws and regulations to management.
  • Lead special projects, acting as the Compensation subject matter expert on various projects.
  • Lead pay equity analyses and summarize findings for leadership.
  • Assist in the administration of executive compensation programs and non-qualified compensation plan(s).
  • Partner with HRIS team to maintain compensation processes and reporting in Workday and other databases to ensure effective and accurate administration of all compensation programs.
  • Partner with Finance team on incentive calculations, annual budget planning and reporting.
  • Supervise the work of and provide direction to compensation analyst(s), both internal and external.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation management, with a focus on global compensation programs.
  • Ability to be discreet with confidential company and employee information.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills, including Pivot tables and v-lookups.
  • Advanced reporting and database skills, including creating reports, updating data, running queries, etc.
  • Proven experience supervising analysts and other support resources to ensure the highest quality outcomes of the team, while guiding the learning and professional development of direct reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex compensation concepts to non-compensation professionals.
  • Strong detail orientation and commitment to quality and accuracy in work
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and flexible hours as needed; ability to drive to results and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate and build long-term, trusting relationships with leaders and other colleagues around the globe and across different areas of the business.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Flexible and adaptable to rapid change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep expertise in compensation analytics, benchmarking, and design.
  • CCP or similar designation.
  • Experience with Workday.
  • Experience working across multiple global geographies.

Pay Range Guidelines for this Position:

The salary range for this position is 125000 USD to 175000 USD. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience and skills. In addition to your salary, Heidrick & Struggles offers discretionary bonuses (subject to eligibility requirements) and a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, disability leave, parental leave, paid time off and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Note: we have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
