Job Description:
- Lead efforts to strengthen and support a high-performing Quality Engineering (QE) capability that drives and aligns with the strategic objectives of Projects and Programs;
- Participate in program planning and provide technical reviews and provide feedback on Requirements, Design Documents and Specifications, and Project Plans and Initiatives from a Quality Engineering and testing perspective;
- Coordinate efforts within the QE Team to increase the use of automation and related tools to increase reliability, repeatability, quality, and time to market;
- Develop effective and efficient Test Strategies to support Development Programs, Projects, and Prototyping activities. Assist QE Analysts in troubleshooting and identifying root cause of issues uncovered during testing;
- Actively engage in the Escaped Defect Analysis process, ensuring the maintenance of quality data. Contribute proactively to establishing development goals, upholding group standards, and promoting the adoption of tools and best practices; and
- Identify meaningful gaps in the QE process on an on-going basis that will drive measurable improvements in QE testing effectiveness and reduced defects into UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and Production.
Education + Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field plus 4 years of experience as an Automation Test Engineer, Quality Engineer, Software Quality Assurance Analyst, or related occupation.
Skill Set Requirements:
- 4 years of experience in the following skills:
- Automation using the ReadyAPI tool and integrating it into deployment pipelines;
- Tricentis Tosca for developing automation scripts for test cases and integrating it into deployment pipelines;
- Automating test cases using Node.js and JavaScript;
- Grafana, New Relic, or Log Intelligence;
- Aurora PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DynamoDB;
- Jenkins, Bamboo CI, and application deployment processes; and
- S3 buckets, EC2 instances, SES (Simple Email Service), and Lambda functions.
Telecommuting permitted. 40 hours/week. $121,389 - $166,700 per year.
