The Manager, Intermodal Operations is responsible for the overall growth, development, and management of RXO’s Intermodal accounts. The Manager, IMDL Ops is responsible for managing, motivating, and leading a team to build trust, credibility, and rapport with assigned customers. The Manager, IMDL Ops is expected to have strong analytical and refined decision-making skills and is accountable for the tactical execution of customer-specific strategies.

Daily Tasks & Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):

  • Account Assignments: Closely monitor account performance and proactively identify ways to improve overall profitability.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. Provide feedback and insights to make strategic decisions and recommend improvements.
  • Load Management: Oversee all operations within assigned accounts and correct deficiencies and support issue resolution.
  • Network Strategy: Provide consultative feedback to customers and look for inefficiencies within their supply chain.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate employee performance by setting expectations, providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and implementing corrective action plans (CAPs) as needed.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination and communication across all logistics functions.
  • SOP Management: Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Gather, analyze, and present data to support decision-making and track performance metrics.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvements to contribute to the development of best practices and enhance operational efficiency.

Essential Skills, Characteristics, & Experience:

  • Adaptable, collaborative work style
  • 4 years industry experience preferred
  • 2 years people management experience preferred

Starting Pay: $70,000 plus bonus eligibility
