Job Summary:
As the Manager, Learning and Development, you will partner with HR Business Partners and other COE resources to understand training and development needs within the various audience segments (Individual Contributor, Manager, Leader). You will design, develop, deploy, and measure learning solutions that positively impact performance and drive business results.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Instructional Design, Training and Development, or Workforce Education
  • 5-10 years of progressive needs analysis, instructional design, material development, instruction, training implementation, measurement systems, and learning project management


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Well-versed in Adult Learning principles and teaching methods
  • Versed in appropriate organization of training materials
  • Proficient in various prescriptive instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, AGILE, etc.)
  • Implement learning measurement and demonstration mechanisms. Versed in learning evaluation models such as Kirkpatrick and alternatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of projects with varying levels of complexity to successful completion with minimal supervision
  • Experience creating learning with various platforms
  • Accomplished trainer and facilitator, strong speaker
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels and a variety of working styles


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • E-Learning software a plus, Camtasia or Captivate, screen capture tools
  • Strong influence, negotiation, creative problem-solving, and people management skills
  • Project management or process improvement mechanisms are a significant plus


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, deploy, and measure innovative learning solutions for associates/individual contributors and all leaders, from new people leaders to executives, that integrate our values, strategic direction, and critical skillsets
  • Strategically assess and identify future and current training needs through needs analysis and consultation
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and measurement of orientation and onboarding processes and resources, in partnership with HRBPs, HRIS, and business leaders
  • Oversee the management and continuous improvement of the LMS system and team and other learning resources
  • Perform responsibilities as an expert at creating learning and development solutions that most effectively teach and transfer desired skill, knowledge, and behavior from the learning environment to optimal performance on the job
  • Drive L&D programs end to end including: Needs analysis, program, and project planning and management, vendor oversight, curriculum design, learning solution delivery and measurement
  • Partner with HR to create seamless end-to-end learning experiences for cohesion with D&I, People Partner inputs, Business leaders, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Identify, select, onboard, and manage vendor partners to execute on learning strategy and initiatives
  • Establish and measure L&D program effectiveness based on impact, knowledge, and behavior change
  • Motivate and lead a high-performance team by attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining team members
  • Drive the performance management process by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback, and facilitating employee development per the company's policies
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies


As a Manager, you will:

  • Motivate and lead a high-performance team by attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining team members
  • Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback, and facilitating employee development per the company's policies
  • Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team
  • Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the CG mission, vision. and values.


This role will be hybrid out of our Oak Brook, IL headquarters.
