About Us:
Founded 19 years ago and headquartered in Chicago, the DV Group of financial services firms has grown to more than 450 people operating throughout the world. Since spinning out of a large brokerage firm in 2016, DV Trading rapidly scaled as an independent proprietary trading firm utilizing its own capital, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity and hedging opportunities to financial participants, commodity producers and counterparties worldwide.  DV Group affiliates also include two broker dealers, an introducing broker in commodities, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and several investment advisory firms.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, self-driven, and strategically minded individual to lead the implementation, optimization, and support of technology solutions and operational processes that drive efficiency and effectiveness across our legal functions – including human resources, vendor relationships, mergers and acquisitions, and governance, amongst each of our proprietary trading, hedge fund, and private equity investment platforms. This role sits at the intersection of law and technology and will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of legal initiatives, enhancing process workflows, supporting legal operations, and serving as a key partner to attorneys, HR, IT, accounting, compliance, and other business functions.

  • Technology Integration: Liaise with the technology team, procurement, and other stakeholders to integrate and optimize scalable technology solutions to support legal operations. Make recommendations on how to effectively and efficiently leverage technology solutions, including emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, to drive business goals and operational excellence.
  • Project Management: Centrally manage and track projects involving the legal department, utilizing existing technology solutions or recommending additional solutions as applicable.
  • Vendor Management: Work with the procurement team to oversee relationships with vendors for legal technology solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate, JD or advanced degree in operations, technology, or information systems preferred. For candidates with a JD, please note this role is not intended for a practicing attorney.
  • 3+ years of experience in legal operations, technology management, or IT project management within a legal or regulatory environment.
  • Experience managing legal and project management platforms such as SAP, Agiloft, Ironclad, Archer, Jira, Asana, or similar.
  • Exemplary organizational and project management skills, with a focus on operational efficiency and the ability to move business initiatives forward.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and build working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in a financial services firm, bank, or other highly regulated environment preferred.
  • Previous experience with a startup or high-growth organization desired.
  • Ability to work onsite at our Chicago office 5 days a week.
