Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled leader to oversee our Control Center technology suite. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NERC-CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection) standards, energy generation operations, and technical leadership. Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for supporting and achieving vision of Control Center Management team, SCADA engineering staff, and management.
  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling energy generation and transmission assets, including power plants, substations, and transmission lines.
  • Ensure compliance with NERC CIP standards, cybersecurity protocols, and operational best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain video wall systems used for real-time monitoring and decision-making.
  • Manage and maintain communication systems in the Control Phones, Satellite, and AV.
  • Provide technical expertise during emergencies, outages, and system disturbances.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement with the Control Center.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related industry, with a focus on energy generation and transmission control center operations.
  • Strong knowledge of NERC-CIP standards and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with video wall systems and real-time visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SCADA/Generation Management System experience.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience.

    Base Pay

    $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 USD Annual
    Bonus: 25% - 40%

    The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
     
    In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance.
