Responsibilities & Essential functions

  • A key aspect of this role is the relentless pursuit of scaling the team, improving efficiency, and implementing best practice standards across the board. The manager is tasked with continuously seeking innovative ways to enhance team operations and effectiveness.
  • Planning and Execution: Develop and execute data driven plans, ensuring alignment with CDK's business goals and objectives for but not limited to resource allocation, communication plans, performance monitoring, Coaching and developing plans, change management, standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Team Scaling and Efficiency: Focus on optimizing team efficiency and resource allocation to meet evolving business needs.
  • Leadership: Ensure Regional Sr. Platform Specialists provide the coaching, and development across the designated regional teams. Implement structured coaching and development programs for team members, ensuring continuous professional growth and skill enhancement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Platform Specialist Operation team to define utilization reporting to ensure team alignment and resourcing, establish feedback mechanisms that provide deep feedback on Platform Specialists role performance. Collaborate with Product Marketing and the Operations team to ensure training and certifications are defined and completed in a timely manner by all team members.
  • Management: Oversee the creation and execution of performance plans, maintaining meticulous documentation to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Ensure the team's adherence to established sales standards and processes, meeting and exceeding set expectations. Regularly assess both individual and team performance, ensuring alignment with CDK's expectations and objectives, and making resource adjustments as necessary to maintain high standards of excellence.
  • Goal Setting and Alignment: Facilitate individual and team goal setting, aligning these objectives with CDK's broader business goals and strategies. Utilize data and analytics to inform strategic decisions, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement in team performance.
  • Follow all CDK Global policies and procedures
  • Complete all mandatory assigned compliance tasks and acknowledgements
  • Meet or exceed all performance expectations
  • Hire and train new employees
  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • Set goals for performance, monitor employee productivity, and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises
  • Role model company values and leadership expectations

Required Job Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams with strong coaching and mentoring abilities. Proven high employee engagement track record.
  • Proven ability and success analyzing data and trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • 4+ years’ experience as a Manager of pre sales roles OR proven track record of leadership (either as a people leader) in a role that demonstrates knowledge of the sales process and the impact of a pre-sales solution team.
  • Ability to travel up to 35%; including overnight travel
  • SaaS enterprise solution background Strong sales acumen – proven track record sales or pre-sales with a deep understanding of sales process, sales strategies, and methodologies
  • Automotive experience desired but not required

Compensation: $117,000 - $135,000
