Position Overview

The Manager, Revenue Operations leads the billing/invoicing and collections functions and has shared ownership of the process and systems that connect Salesforce (CRM/CPQ) and NetSuite. This role is accountable for accurate, timely invoicing, strong cash collections, and end-to-end order-to-cash process optimization. A key part of the job is expanding automation of order processing between Salesforce and NetSuite, reducing manual touchpoints, improving data integrity, and enabling scalable revenue growth. The role partners closely with Sales Ops, FP&A, Revenue Accounting, IT/Integration teams, Sales and Customer Success. 

Work Arrangement: Remote 

This role requires the individual to be based in Eastern Standard Time (EST) or Central Standard Time (CST)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end invoicing in NetSuite (subscriptions, usage, fixed-fee, milestone, T&M, and credit/rebill scenarios).  
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Billing/Invoicing and Collections teams (hiring, training, performance management, workload planning). 
  • Establish team KPIs, SLAs, and a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and customer service. 
  • Ensure accuracy of order data flow from Salesforce to NetSuite, minimizing manual adjustments.  
  • Own monthly billing cycles, cutoffs, and quality controls; manage billing calendars and exception handling.  
  • Partner with Revenue Accounting to support ASC 606 compliance, billing schedules, revenue schedules, and audit requests. 
  • Manage collections strategy, outreach cadences, and dispute resolution; reduce DSO and aging A/R.  
  • Oversee cash application, unapplied cash resolution, and credit memos.  
  • Build dashboards and aging reports; escalate chronic delinquencies and collaborate with Sales/CS on retention impacts. 
  • Implement internal controls to support close accuracy and external audit readiness 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and company objectives. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or equivalent experience. 
  • 6–8 years of experience in Revenue Operations/Accounting, Order-to-Cash, or Billing, with 2+ years leading teams. 
  • Hands-on NetSuite experience (billing/invoicing, Advanced Revenue Management, customers/items, saved searches). 
  • Hands-on Salesforce experience (CPQ familiarity preferred; reporting/dashboards). 
  • Strong knowledge of order management, invoicing models (subscription/usage/fixed/milestone), revenue accounting (ASC 606), credit & collections, and cash application. 
  • Analytical and process design skills; comfort with data cleansing, reconciliations, and exception management. 
  • Excellent communication; ability to influence cross-functionally and drive change. 
  • Expert Excel capability for reconciling order data, analyzing A/R aging, monitoring billing accuracy, and performing exception analysis to support automation and process improvements. 
  • Ability to travel up <10% as business needs require.
  • Role requires the following physical capacity: Sedentary: primarily desk/computer work​.
