Be a Strategic Partner to Sales

Work in lockstep with Regional Sales Directors on account planning, strategy, and execution. You will be a key contributor to the sales leadership team, providing guidance and ensuring tight alignment.

Influence Product & Strategy

Act as the voice of the field, providing timely and insightful feedback to our Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams to influence the future direction of our platform.

Engage with Customers

Confidently represent SailPoint in front of technical and business audiences, from practitioners to C-level executives, influencing their perspective on identity security.

What We Are Looking For

Leadership Experience

2-3 years of experience leading Solution Engineering (pre-sales) teams within a fast-paced software or SaaS organization. You have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding team quotas.

Technical Experience

6-8 years of experience in pre-sales or leading technical teams within a revenue-focused organization. You understand the technical sales motion inside and out.

People Leadership

You are an experienced and passionate manager who excels at hiring, coaching, and retaining high-performing teams. You lead with empathy and a desire to see your team members succeed.

Communication Skills

You possess excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to speak fluently to both technical and business audiences.

Domain Knowledge

While not required, an understanding of the solutions, market dynamics, and best practices in the Identity Security market is a significant plus.

The Path to Success (Milestones):

This path is designed for a leader who makes a difference—one who is proactive, strategic, and elevates the business beyond just managing workflows.

1-Month Milestones (The "Learning" Phase):

  • Connect with the entire team and key sales leaders, shadowing customer meetings to absorb foundational product knowledge and understand the state of the business.

  • Audit the current operational rhythm and tools, identifying initial areas to apply a data-driven approach.

2-Month Milestones (The "Connecting" Phase):

  • Transition from shadowing to active participation in customer meetings, establishing a regular, data-informed operational cadence with the team and sales peers while leading from the front.

  • Analyze team activities and opportunity data to identify initial trends, patterns of success, and specific areas for coaching.

3-Month Milestones (The "Contribution" Phase):

  • Fully engage in top opportunities, coaching the team on deal strategy and value articulation in a steady rhythm after completing product training.

  • Present an initial strategic plan to sales leadership, outlining key initiatives for team development and business improvement based on data-driven observations.

6-Month Milestones (The "Performance" Phase):

  • Function as a trusted strategic partner to sales leaders, consistently using data to identify what is working and what is not, while executing plans that have a measurable impact.

  • Provide consistent, insightful feedback to the Product and Strategy teams, solidifying your role as a key leader who is a force multiplier for the revenue organization.

Education: A Bachelor’s in Computer Science is preferred but not required or equivalent real-world experience . We value experience and a proven ability to lead.
