ROLE SUMMARY
The Manager, Social Intelligence plays a critical role in Pfizer's Integrated Media & Customer Engagement group within the Chief Marketing Officer's organization. This position will help build a best-in-class center of excellence focused on social listening and reporting. The Manager supports the Director of Social Intelligence to stand up this new capability and deliver impactful social listening reports and recommendations to brands across Pfizer's portfolio.
This role will manage agencies and vendors to implement listening projects, reviewing insights, and activating data-driven marketing programs. Additionally, this role directly executes social listening analysis leveraging Pfizer's in-house tools and translates complex data sets into concise, visually compelling reports. To drive business impact, the Manager partners extensively with cross-functional leaders in marketing, communications, digital, and brand teams. This end-to-end involvement informs strong, actionable recommendations tailored to influence each brand's objectives.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $106,000.00 to $171,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 15.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the Director of Social Intelligence and other Managers to develop and execute Pfizer's social listening strategy, enabling always-on listening capabilities that deliver impactful insights and understanding of social sentiment, behavior and opinions to commercial business teams.
- Leverage social listening tools and platforms to continuously track and analyze online conversations, spot emerging trends in real-time, and connect insights back to business impact.
- Bring innovative approaches to social intelligence, especially by building and/or leveraging AI-driven solutions that drive insights not previously attainable, drive efficiencies of scale or save time spent on lower-value tasks
- Exhibit expert proficiency with leading social listening tools such as Meltwater, All Ears Converseon and AI agents to derive data-driven decisions.
- Perform in-depth analysis and easily synthesize large volumes of social data into clear, actionable reports and recommendations.
- Influence the strategic direction of integrated media campaigns by translating social listening insights into bold, innovative ideas that challenge status quo.
- Work comfortably with ambiguity to tackle unique and complex social analytics projects aimed at advancing Pfizer's listening practice.
- Act independently to identify opportunities for improvement and spearhead self-initiated projects applying hands-on expertise in social listening and analytics.
- Develop and maintain social listening dashboards, leveraging capabilities to visualize data and trends for stakeholders.
- Make recommendations for real-time response as well as long-term optimization of marketing, communications, crisis response, and reputation management based on social data signals.
- Promote adoption of social listening best practices for data-informed decision making across Pfizer's commercial business.
- Contribute thought leadership perspective on connecting ever-evolving consumer trends with business impact
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a PhD with 0+ years of experience; OR as associate's degree with 8 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on professional experience in a media, marketing, or strategic communications role within a large, complex matrix organization.
- Previous firsthand social listening experience gained from the brand, agency, or media perspective utilizing industry-leading tools such as Meltwater, Brandwatch, Talkwalker or similar
- Proficiency with AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT or Claude
- Strong project leadership and administrative skills.
- Exhibits a growth-oriented mindset and the capability to actively help build and scale new organizational capabilities.
- Expertise in using social analytics platforms and tools.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to operate in a matrix environment .
