Job Description

As a Manager – Specialty Strategy and Business Value, you will support the development of a differentiated, best-in-class specialty pharmacy experience that improves health outcomes for specialty patients, simplifies the colleague experience, and delivers measurable business value.

This role will use data, analytics, business storytelling, and strong stakeholder partnership to identify high-impact opportunities, build business cases, support roadmap prioritization, and quantify value delivered through Specialty Technology and operational enablement. The colleague will help connect strategy, operational performance, patient and colleague experience, and service efficiency into a clear view of business impact.

The successful candidate will operate with strong ownership, urgency, analytical rigor, and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities across a complex, cross-functional environment. This role requires comfort working through ambiguity, structuring complex problems, simplifying detailed analysis into executive-ready insights, and influencing outcomes through strong partnership across Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Resource Planning, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to evaluate business performance, operational pain points, workflow opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize business, operational, product, financial, and colleague workflow data to identify trends, insights, risks, and value opportunities.
  • Develop business cases, feasibility assessments, cost-benefit analyses, value-sizing models, and benefit realization frameworks for proposed solutions, technology enhancements, and operational improvements.
  • Assess the effectiveness, adoption, operational impact, and service efficiency contribution of Specialty Technology products and enabled capabilities.
  • Translate complex analysis into clear, concise, actionable insights that support leadership decision-making and roadmap prioritization.
  • Create executive-ready summaries, presentations, dashboards, value tracking materials, and recommendations for cross-functional and senior leadership audiences.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Resource Planning, and business stakeholders to validate assumptions, define success measures, align on ownership, and support ongoing value tracking.
  • Support roadmap prioritization, discovery, sizing, development, implementation, and post-launch performance monitoring for Specialty Technology and value acceleration initiatives.
  • Conduct impact assessments and gather stakeholder feedback to inform solution design, rollout approach, operational readiness, change management needs, and go-forward recommendations.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to gather requirements, validate solutions, align cross-functional partners, surface risks, and support decision-making.
  • Help simplify the Specialty front-end colleague experience, particularly for Pharmacy Service Representatives and operational teams impacted by technology, workflow, and process changes.
  • Actively contribute to team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative projects by sharing ideas, providing feedback, and helping advance Strategic Analyst Team priorities.
  • Leverage analytics techniques and tools, including SQL, Python, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and related platforms, to gather data, create models, forecast impact, develop dashboards, and support business decision-making.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Specialty pharmacy operations, patient engagement, colleague workflows, compliance considerations, technology enablement, and business value drivers.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of overall work experience with 3+ years of experience specifically focused in pharmacy operations
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, financial analysis, operational analytics, value measurement, or performance reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of complex data into relevant, actionable insights.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data, strategy, operations, colleague experience, patient experience, and financial impact.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for operational, cross-functional, and leadership audiences.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations that clearly communicate business opportunities, risks, recommendations, and measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to create clear, concise, executive-ready materials that translate complex work into business impact, tradeoffs, risks, opportunities, and next steps.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adjust quickly, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner effectively across Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Resource Planning, and business teams.
  • High energy, strong sense of urgency, and demonstrated ownership in driving work forward from analysis through recommendation, alignment, and execution support.
  • Ability to work independently through ambiguity, structure complex problems, influence outcomes without direct authority, and drive clarity across cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Copilot.
  • Experience using SQL, Python, or related analytics tools to support data modeling, forecasting, dashboarding, scenario analysis, and business case development.
